While no longer the newest design within the adidas Yeezy arsenal, the Yeezy 500 continues being distinct in its use of layering and made-for-basketball traction. The model returns to the spotlight tomorrow, December 4th, in an “Ash Grey” colorway.
Consistently teased since early September, the upcoming Yeezys revert to the muted color palette that’s appeared across most of the footwear designed for the Three Stripes by Ye – the being formerly known as “Kanye West.” The model’s suede, mesh and synthetic leather upper indulges in a sand-like grey reminiscent of several past military-inspired Yeezy boots. adiPRENE-cushioning underfoot follows suit, creating an ensemble perfect for the colder months of the year, when a rugged, reliable pair is perhaps more crucial.
